Joanne Cassidy effectively conducts complex civil and business litigation and discovery processes through pre-trial, settlement negotiations and trial. As a partner with a national law firm, Ms. Cassidy was first or second chair in a variety of high-dollar-value contract disputes, antitrust, trademark, copyright disputes and directors and officer’s liability disputes. Earlier in her career she served as a prosecutor with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

Ms. Cassidy now works successfully with highly respected firms and companies in New York, Washington D.C. and Los Angeles. Client needs are met with superior legal skills and professionalism. Ms. Cassidy conducts all aspects of complex litigation, pre-trial and trial, including the organization, management, supervision and training of attorney teams and support teams in best practices e-discovery document review.

In addition to her litigation background Joanne works with film and media clients on development, contract, and intellectual property issues. She is a founding member of the Board of Directors of the Washington D.C. Center for the Moving Image, and is a member of New York Women in Film & Television (NYWIFT) and Women in Film & Video (WIFV) in Washington D.C. She earned her law degree from Catholic University and her MBA from the University of Chicago. She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, California and New York.
